So emphatic have been Modise’s club that they have scored 75 goals to date – the highest in the league – despite being two points shy of leaders Brondby IF with three games remaining.

Modise, the only South African women footballer to ever play in Europe, has also regularly found her name on the score sheet as she heads into completing her first full season with the Kvinde 3F Ligaen club.

Hjorring have to date piled 40 points from 15 games in the 10 team league that has again turned into a two team race as third placed Skovlunde IF are 10 points behind.

The final lap for Modise and her team mates goes into peak on Friday when they play fourth placed SonderjyskE Haderslev before meeting third placed Skovlunde IF on May 3.

The traditional title decider against fierce rivals Brondby IF is on May 12 in a game which Fortuna should win as they will be hosts.

Hjorring who have finished to Brondby in the last four are aware that this year they have the best chance ever possible of winning the title as they play the final game at home.

Modise has African companion at the club in Nigerian striker Chichi Igbo who is the top scorer at the club.
