Moloto has done well for Sundowns since taking over the reigns from Gordon Igesund towards the end of the past season and delivering the Nedbank Cup to Chloorkop at the weekend could persuade club president Patrice Motsepe reverse his decision to look for a foreign coach before next season.
Speaking to snl24.com/kickoff after they beat Aces 1-0 at the Johannesburg Stadium, Moloto sounded optimistic about his future at Sundowns, revealing that he will soon be meeting with Motsepe to make recommendations to strengthen the team ahead of next season.
“Actually, there was little to do when I took over at Sundowns. There is nothing much to do when you have such capable players as we do at Sundowns.
“I had to install confidence into the players and allow them to play the style of football that is traditional at Sundowns.
“There will be no holiday for me. I will be meeting with the president soon to plan for next season. There are some other areas in the squad that need re-enforcement, so we will definitely be bringing in some new faces next season.”
Sundowns are reported to have already lost the services of defender Oscar Ntwagae whilst soccer agent Bajo Bujane has confirmed that the Nedbank Cup champions have failed to renew Patrick Apataki’s contract.
The Brazilians are reported to have set their sights on signing Mozambican striker Dario Monteiro whom Supersport United midfielder Elias Pelembe described to snl24.com/kickoff as a ‘very good striker’.
