Former Bafana Bafana internationals Calvin Marlin and Nasief Morris have been handed the reins at Cape Town Spurs on an interim basis.
GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town Spurs have announced that former South Africa goalkeeper, Marlin, will serve as the club's head coach for this weekend's league match against Platinum City Rovers.
The 45-year-old will be assisted by former national team teammate Morris, with the duo being handed the reins following former head coach Dylan Deane's dismissal on Monday evening.
"Calvin Marlin has been appointed as interim head coach for this weekend’s fixture. He will be assisted by Nasief Morris," the club announced on Tuesday.
Spurs are currently languishing in 15th position in the log standings and elected to part ways with Deane following the club's humiliating 6-1 defeat at the hands of Pretoria Callies last weekend.
The Cape-based side have won just one of their opening eight matches of the campaign, which came earlier this month against Black Leopards, prior to which the team had endured a six-match winless run from the start of the season.
There has been no confirmation at this stage as to whether or not Marlin and Morris are being considered for their roles on a permanent basis.
