Motsepe to bring in new players

Disclosing this at a weekend press conference just prior to the Brazilians’ victory over visiting Miembeni SC at the Atteridgeville Super Stadium on Saturday, club president Patrice Motsepe revealed that apart from getting a new head coach, the Chloorkop outfit will be signing eight new players before next season.

Motsepe said the re-building was as a result of all that had happened at the club this season and the team’s poor performance.

Sundowns’ media and communications manager Mahlatse Mphahlele has also confirmed that Mbulelo Mabizela is set to appear before club officials this week on charges of misconduct.

However, it appears that coach Trott Moloto has a soft spot for the former Bafana Bafana skipper.

Moloto says that while he does not condone Mabizela’s behaviour, the nation should not give up on the former Bafana Bafana skipper as “he has done no worse that Argentine legend Diego Maradona did in his career.”

“For me, Mabizela is one of the best players in South Africa. No one can dispute the talent that this boy has. With his mind fully focused, Mabizela still has lot to offer to the national team.

“Everything is in the hands of the management, but if they allow him back in the team, I am ready to work with him again.”
