Mphela tells snl24.com/kickoff that ever since he returned from the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana, he has been troubled with a stomach ‘bug’, to the extent that he has not been able to train properly.
“I don’t know what I ate in Ghana that has given me this bowel problem, although I can feel that it is almost over now. I think the coach did not feature me in his plans for Cosmos game because I missed so much training. But I’m hoping that in my absence the team will continue to do as well as they did against Thanda last week,” Mphela adds.
Meanwhile, Ezenkosi owner Jomo Sono says he will know today whether he will be getting Nkosinathi Nhleko back into his squad.
Nhleko has been training with Ezenkosi since returning from trials in Israel a few weeks ago.
The player’s agent Mike Makaab says he is expecting a decision from the Israeli club within the next 48 hours.
