Mwakasungula scores for Flames

Mwakasungula, who last played for the Flames three years ago, hammered home the Flames’ last goal after some good work on the left from debutant Limbani Dzinkambani, who plays club football for Mozambique’s Ferroviaro de Nampula.

Compatriot Robert Ng’ambi, of Black Leopards, too, hit the target with the second goal after debutant Atusaye Nyondo, Malawi’s new 18-year-old sensation, had opened the score sheet.

The win eased some pressure on Flames’ coach Stephen Constantine who was playing his last of the two-game ultimatum the Malawi FA imposed after a run of poor results.

Constantine’s squad beat Swaziland 3-0 in an earlier match. The FA’s ultimatum was issued last September.
