Zuma recently returned to the Chiefs setup with some impressive individual displays, scoring three goals in as many games while also registering a couple of assists.

The 23-year-old fell down the pecking order upon coach Ernst Middendorp’s arrival in December, before eventually returning to the setup in February.

Though he took some time to stake his claim for more regular game-time, he eventually repaid the faith by recently scoring against Highlands Park, Maritzburg United and Cape Town City, and has explained the reason behind his resurgence.

“I can say most of the guys have always had my back, even the likes of Parker always motivate us inside the field,” said Zuma.

“So, we become more relaxed in the game and maybe that’s why I’ve been scoring more goals.

“I think he’s more a help for us as youngsters, because he always guides us and tells us what to do inside the field.

“Even if you do wrong, he always encourages you, so I think he plays a big role to us. Off the field, as well, he’s still the same.”
