The Madagascar international played his first 90 minutes for Amakhosi in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals on Sunday, as the Soweto giants beat Cape Town City 2-0 to edge closer to the final.
Dax, who was making only his second start for Amakhosi, neutralised City's 'General' Teko Modise in the middle of the park. He worked tirelessly throughout the game and was confident to take a shot from range in the second half, which was on target.
The 27-year-old played alongside George Maluleka and the two seemed to have a good understanding.
Dax will be hoping to get more opportunities to play before the season ends so that he is fit enough to play at the Africa Cup of Nations.
"Starting to know him better," Middendorp tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"He's had a test game during the week to see what he is capable of. I like his speed, I like his vision, I like at the moment. Obviously he has not played the last four or five months.
"He was not involved at all... yes he was not travelling at the moment [not selected for his national team games] but his coaches made contact with us and they made it clear he is part of the team that is going to AFCON in Egypt in June."
