Castro has yet to live up to the lofty expectations he arrived at Naturena to at the start of 2018 from Mamelodi Sundowns, having managed four league goals in 19 appearances this season.
The Colombian forward was expected to rise to his former self in his first full season at Chiefs, aided by the arrival of Khama Billiat, but that has not been the case.

His returns have been quite inconsistent, while his playing minutes have also taken a nose dive in recent weeks, with coach Ernst Middendorp having also questioned his mental fitness.
Castro has since defended that injuries have been a big distraction in his campaign but added that he has often also sacrificed himself for the team.
“I started well, unfortunately I got an injury, but I came back in the right frame of mind and attitude to be back in the team,” explained Castro.
“So, I think I’ve tried to play my role in the team and to do my best for the team.
“I’m not happy yet because I’ve come here to write my history, so I’m still playing my part. But I think it’s going to come [soon].”
