The defending Italian champions have done plenty of recruiting already during the off-season, bringing in Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia.

Asamoah says the additions to the squad leave them in great shape to challenge for a sixth consecutive Scudetto.

"The team's even stronger than it was last season," Asamoah told the official Juventus website.

"We've brought in players with quality and experience who will be able to make a strong contribution."

Whilst securing domestic honours once again is very much on the agenda, so too is claiming glory on the European stage.

"We're gearing up for Serie A, which we want to win, but also for Europe, where we want to show our strength."
