Ngobese turns down Leopards for Thanda

The 27-year-old has accepted an offer from Thanda Royal Zulu FC instead of the one offered to him by Black Leopards the day before Christmas.

Confirming this on the Amakhosi website, team manager Bobby Motaung, the Lidoda Duvha deal was subject to the player agreeing on personal terms with the Thoyandou-based outfit.

However, in the interim Thanda Royal Zulu FC also made enquiries about his services and the player opted to move to the Swedish consortium-owned team.

“Ngobese has opted to further purse the offer being tabled by them. It is now up to him and his representatives to conclude the deal and we are hopeful that it will be wrapped up with in a day or so.”

Thanda Royal Zulu are set to meet with Scara Ngobese's represantative to finalise the deal for the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder who has agreed to join the Kwazulu Natal based outfit.

Thanda manager Thabang Gumede has confirmed to KickOff.com that they will be meeting with Ngobese’s agent Prosport International today after speaking to both the player and Kaizer Chiefs yesterday.

“I spoke with Bobby yesterday and also had opportunity to speak to Scara who has agreed to join us. I am on my way to the airport now to Johannesburg to finalise the deal with Scara’s representatives to finalise everything including financial terms.”

Leopards’ club spokesperson Chief Thidiela said they were still waiting for Ngobese to respond to their offer when they heard that Ngobese had changed direction.

“There was nothing on paper between us and Ngobese as we had only finalised everything with Chiefs. We don’t have any hard feelings and wish Scara all the best at Thanda Royal Zulu FC.”
