Ngwabeni signs for Maritzburg United

He has signed with First Division Coast Stream promotion hopefuls Maritzburg United who making a strong bid to make their way back into the Premiership.

The left-footed attacking player has been without a club since falling out of favour at Usuthu and being released before the start of this season.

Ngwabeni has signed until the end of the season and his arrival is likely to widen the attacking options in a team that has been affected by injuries and suspensions of late.

Ngwabeni who has been training at United for the past week could make his debut on Friday night when Ian Palmer’s team comes up against relegation-threatened Western Province United.

The 22-year-old dreadlocked player, who has been back home in Cape Town since being released by Usuthu, has also played for Dynamos and Winners Park.
