Nkosinathi Nhleko training with Ezenkosi

Nhleko returned home last week Friday and tells Kick Off that he is getting ready for pre-season training with his Swedish club, Hammarby.

Nhleko has been on loan to Sandefjord, but unfortunately the speedy striker sustained a few injuries there and has now returned for a break.

Nhleko, whose contract with Hammarby ends in 2009, says that he wants to make sure that when he returns to Sweden he will regain his place in the team.

This, he says, will bring him back into contention to regain his place in Bafana Bafana.

“It’s good to be at home. I will return to Europe on January 4. I can tell you that it is not easy in Sweden. I was just beginning to enjoy myself at Sandefjord when I picked up the hamstring injury and it disturbed my focus.

"I was out for six months and then, when I returned, I sustained a groin injury and that sidelined me for another month.

“Hammarby finished the season in 10th position and I want to make sure I am fully fit when I go back so that I can complete for a place in their line-up.”
