Nsofor good for Nations Cup - Siasia

Siasia tells KickOff.com that Nsofor stood out from the pack of the invited players based on current form with the Olympic team and has other qualities to make the final squad of the team.

“Obinna has been awesome recently. We all know that he is in terrific form now and has been playing well for the U-23 team too. He was also in the last Nations Cup in Egypt where he shown brightly in his first cap and went ahead to score in the competition.

_quote“So on current form, I think Obinna should be one of the players that will be going to the Nations Cup because he is in great shape and I am confident he will prove himself in the Eagles camp.

“The player has other qualities like being able to play in all positions in the attack which gives him an edge over other strikers in the team and I am sure the boy will be in Ghana if it is on current form,” the former International discloses.

He however expressed doubts over the chances of his other player, Ambrose Efe that was also called to Eagles’ camp.

“But for Efe, I doubt it. If he plays well in the training sessions in Malaga and if Berti Vogts is just like me then Efe could give the other players in camp the run for their money because what you do in training determines what you will do during matches,” Siasia tells KickOff.com.

Siasia also stresses that, “Ambrose Efe is an energetic player that on a good day, if Vogts is not going to look at experience, I think the boy will can make the team. Efe is a hard working player mostly in the midfield and in the defense and can surprise any coach with his resilience and all round work on the field.”
