Omony dropped for Cranes friendly

Omony, who made a blunder on Wednesday when his club played Orlando Pirates, was on the original list of 14 foreign-based players.

Omony has not played for Cranes since his poor display against Libya in March 2006. The Cranes lost the match in Tripoli 3-2.The latest howler will limit further his chances of a comeback.

The 14 foreign-based players include four who turn out for South Africa PSL sides. They are Timothy Batabaire (Bloemfontein Celtic), Dennis Onyango (Supersport), Geoffrey Massa (Jomo Cosmos) and David Obua (Kaizer Chiefs).

Other foreign-based players invited include Hassan Bajope (St. George, Ethiopia)), Andy Mwesigwa (IBV, Iceland), Abubaker Tabula (Sundsvall, Sweden), Ibrahim Ssekajja (Red Bulls Salzburg, Austria), Nestroy Kizito (Vjojvodina, Serbia), Eugene Ssepuya (Vjojvodina, Serbia), Noah Kasule (FC Banana, Armenia), Micheal Sserumaga (Sweden), Joseph Kanyike (Holland) and Moses Jjunju (UK).
