While Aces’ CEO Peter Koutroulis admits that when Ndlazi arrived, he did mention wanting to work with Sam Pam however, the new coach has since said he is satisfied with the technical department that he is currently working with.
Speculation was that the former Orlando Pirates’ defender would become an assistant coach and the current assistant, Dumisa Ngobe, possibly returning to action on the field.
“At the moment we don’t need to make additions and split the team. The coach has confirmed that he is happy working with Dumisa Ngobe and Cyprian Maimane.
“Obviously coaches always want to work with their preferred people, but as a club we already had other coaches at the club and Ndlazi has since shown comfort in working with them.
“I have spoken to Sam Pam and he respected our position,” Koutroulis tells KickOff.com.
Pam worked as an assistant coach at Winners Park when Dan Malesela was briefly in charge. He is currently working as a development coach in Polokwane.
