Pienaar has been in sublime form for the Goodison Park team since his arrival at the start of the season, and has become a firm favourite among the Toffees’ faithful.
Everton coach David Moyes has time and again praised the 25-year-old this season, astounding since Pienaar has only made 18 appearances for the English Premiership side.
Besides scoring two goals for Everton this season, the South African has made several goals through his simple and incisive play, which is sorely lacking at international level.
However, although Moyes has stated that a decision regarding Pienaar’s future will only be made at the end of the season, the midfielder has no doubt where he sees his footballing future.
“That’s what I want basically, to play for this club,” Pienaar told Sky Sports News.
“The supporters are unbelievable; they are always behind the team. To play in the team that your colleagues are so friendly and so warm, I think every player wants to play for a club like that.”
