The former Free State Stars centre-back has been a pillar of strength at Warriors who surprised the form book to miss out on a play-off spot on the last day of the season despite the club being rookies in the First Division.

Enterprising midfielder Mohau Mokopanela recently called up to the national development team that is due to play in a series of matches in the next two weeks was named the Players’ Player of the Season.

The Most Improved Player accolade went to midfielder Malefetsane Rankati, while the Lerato Mofokeng was named Sportsman of the Season.

Another veteran Fees Moloi shared the Top Goal Scorer Award with James Mokoena though both finished with a mere four league goals each.

The Orlando Pirates’ pair of Thulani Maseko and Thulani Lukhele, who were on loan at the club since January, were given the Chairman’s Award.

“The club will be holding trials for next season at the Charles Mopeli Stadium on May 8-10,” Lerato Mokoaeane, the club PRO told snl24.com/kickoff.
