Vusimuzi Mngomezulu curled home a beautiful strike just before halftime to hand City all the three points in an empty Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

As a result, Rise and Shine have extended their unbeaten run to six matches in the Absa Premiership.

“We beat Baroka for the first time, now you say this[first win against Chiefs at their home]. It’s nice especially for the players, for the team even for the fans, they are not here but I think they are happy,” the Slovakian told SuperSport TV

“It was a specific game. We used the opportunity to beat Kaizer [Chiefs]. We stood very good in defence, I can’t remember big chances [from Chiefs].

“To win 1-0 is nice because zero at the back and we score a nice goal I think we deserve that win.

“We will remember this game for a long time. I played two times against Kaizer [Chiefs] eight years ago two times we beat them and now again so it’s a 100 percent success.”
