AmaZulu came from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw against Black Leopards in their penultimate Absa Premiership clash.
Both sides opted for two changes apiece, with Isaac Masia and Tumelo Khutlang installed for Leopards and Somila Ntsundwana and Sphesihle Maduna for Usuthu.
Usuthu attempted a third minute lead after Ntsundwana set up Bonginkosi Ntuli combined, who failed to test King Ndlovu with a dismal effort.
Further pressure delved on Leopards 20 minutes in, but Ndlovu pushed Marc Van Heerden’s free-kick wide of target.
Leopards started launching a few attacks close to halftime, but none were of any trouble to Ndlovu who saved well.
Usuthu made a change on 39 minutes, albeit for tactical reasons as Ovidy Karuru came on for Siyathemba Sithebe.
In the final minute, Tshepo Gumede nearly had Usuthu in front but his shot from outside the area cracked the crossbar.
The second half started off slowly, as both the sides sussed out each other in the earlier exchanges of the half.
Usuthu brought on Siyabonga Nomvethe for the final game of his footballing career on 65 minutes, with Maduna making way.
Lidoda Duvha went ahead two minutes later after Mwape Musonda displayed composure to sent Siyabonga Mbatha the wrong way.
Leopards put bodies behind every ball in order to preserve the lead, but their luck would soon run out.
Usuthu draw level on 82 minutes courtesy of a well-placed, composed finish from Sibusiso Mabiliso after the visitors went to sleep.
The hosts looked for all the points late on, but failed to break down the stubborn Leopards defence as the spoils are shared.
