Gabadinho Mhango netted from the penalty spot just after the 20-minute mark after Matome Mathiane was penalised for a handball in the area following a Mogakolodi Ngele cross.
Mhango had missed a great opportunity 10 minutes prior to that goal when Arrows goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Gumede dropped a routine cross and the ball fell to the striker, but he sliced his shot and the ball was cleared off the line.
Besides those two incidents it was an uneventful first half with most of the talk surrounding some curious decisions made by the officials. Darren Keet did well to stay awake in the Clever Boys goal.
The second half took on much the same shape until Ngele produced a moment of brilliance to put Wits 2-0 up in the 65th minute, catching Gumede cold with a trademark long-range scorcher that left the goalkeeper rooted to the ground.
Fives minutes later the contest was over as Ngele bagged his brace, sweeping home with composure following great work down the left by the ever-lively Mhango.
Gavin Hunt's side comfortably saw out the remainder of the match to seal a result the puts them in a commanding position at the top of the table.
