Arrows started strongly and pushed the visitors to early defending. Leopards managed to push up on the far side and picked out Marks Munyai who shot wide.
Leopards were forced to make an early change as Isaac Masia replaced Jean Munganga on 14 minutes with the balance of the tie still up for the taking.
Siboniso Conco took a long range attempt from outside the area after possession turnover, but missed the target on 23 minutes.
Likewise, Arrows were also forced to an early change after Danny Venter was unable to continue just before halftime. His replacement was Nduduzo Sibiya.
The change did little to affect their game-plan, as their offensive approach continued with a shot from the far side by Lerato Lamola.
In the second half, aside from the forced changes in the first half, both sides returned unchanged for the second stanza.
Both sides started slowly with their build-up yielding no positive results. Arrows made their little momentum count when Knox Mutizwa lashed the opener after good work from Conco.
Leopards struggled to get out of first gear, with limited opportunities in front of goal with their offensive figures providing no spark whatsoever.
Abafana Besthende made their final change as the goal-scorer went off for Nkanyiso Cele later on, with Lidoda Duvha continuing their struggling act.
In the end, Arrows stood firm for their second win of the season that still keeps them out of the top eight.
