Masango, who was voted Player of the Season by the club’s fans in the 2015/16 campaign, has refused to comment on his situation but agent Buddy Farrah has been vocal in the Danish press.
“Mandla has made his intentions very clear to Randers FC. He wants to leave. That's the only thing I can say at the moment,” Farrah told tipsbladet.dk.
When tackled on the subject, Masango did not deny he wants away, offering only a repeated “no comment”.
Randers have spoken publically last month about a 'buzz' around Masango after his excellent debut season in Denmark in which he scored six goals, saying there had been interest both from within Denmark and the rest of Europe.
But Randers have stressed the former Kaizer Chiefs star still has two years remaining on his contract.
“It's something we want to keep internal,” Randers sports manager Ole Nielsen said. “But I want to emphasise that Masango has two years left on his contract and he must, like all other players, be aware of what he has signed. We enter into an agreement with a player, but the player also has that agreement with us. It goes both ways, and that of course also applies for Masango.”
Randers have a new coach Icelander Olafur Kristjansson and he says the Bafana Bafana winger is an important part of his team.
“I think Mandla is an excellent football player and I see him having a big role on the team we're putting together,” he told reporters. “I meet a happy and satisfied Mandla in everyday life and have no problems with him. I have never spoken to his agent so I don’t know if he was misquoted."
