Former AmaZulu midfielder joins Zambia's Warriors

Former AmaZulu and Mbombela United midfielder Charl Reid has been snapped up by five-time Zambian Super League champions Kabwe Warriors.

Another South African footballer is set to try his hand on the continent after former AmaZulu, Chippa United and Mbombela United midfielder Charl Reid joined Zambian Super League side Kabwe Warriors.

The 24-year-old's agency, the Football Project, announced the move on Thursday evening and confirmed that Reid had already received his work permit, making him eligible to potentially make his debut for the club against Kansanshi Dynamos this weekend.

"We are delighted to confirm our client, Charl Reid has penned a deal with Zambian giants, Kabwe Warriors FC," the agency said in a statement.

"The 24-year-old attacking midfielder who was previously on the books of Amazulu and Chippa United is in contention to make his debut for the 5 time Super league champions this weekend, after receiving his work permit."
