Arthur Zwane explains Kaizer Chiefs role alongside Gavin Hunt and Dillon Sheppard

Zwane earned promotion from the Chiefs reserve team to the senior team, where he will be joining Hunt and Sheppard in taking the club forward into the next few seasons.

The 47-year-old tactician, who also doubles up as Bafana Bafana assistant coach, has been in the Amakhosi development structures since retiring as a player back in 2010.

He has since discussed the opportunity afforded to him to team up with the four-time league winner as well as a former rival on the pitch.

"Being taken back to the first-team for the second time means a lot, though it's going to be a lot of responsibility because there'll be expectations in terms of results," Zwane told the club's media team.

"That means now the mindset will change, it's more about winning now. It's not an easier task now, compared to then [last time helping the first-team]. Now I'm going to have to learn to understand how Coach Gavin operates.

"I have a huge role to play in terms of making Coach Dillon Sheppard and Coach Gavin understand the club's culture and how things are done.

"I'll also have to support the young boys – those who were promoted already and those who are still coming – in order for them to gel and integrate quickly, they need to understand what the first-team is all about."
