The Bidvest Wits defender picked up a yellow card in Wednesday’s goalless draw against Congo at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, which was his second of the qualifying campaign.

Hlatshwayo got his first yellow card when Bafana beat Sudan 3-0 on September 5 at El Merriekh Stadium in Khartoum and a second yellow card means, as per CAF’s rules, that he is suspended for one match.

The suspension has been confirmed by Bafana coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba, who will have to name a replacement.
