Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy was disappointed by the scenes at Dr Molemela Stadium which led to their game against Bloemfontein Celtic being called off on Sunday.
Celtic have been surrounded by off-field issues throughout the season, and supporters seemed to have reached boiling point and decided to carry out acts of hooliganism during the game against the Citizens.

McCarthy was left disappointed by the incident.
"Very disappointing, the match was promising to be an exciting one, we've seen how Celtic supporters embrace their team but today it was disappointing, they let themselves down after the reputation they had as one of the exciting, loving people of the game," he said.
"It was not pleasant to watch, football is supposed to unite people, we can't have such scenes especially as a country who has seen many disasters. Our league has grown and witnessing these reactions can damage the brand of our game."
McCarthy was then asked if his team will be ready to face Celtic if the game is replayed on Tuesday or Wednesday.
"We don't decide games, we will do whatever the League wants us to do," he said. "We will take instructions from the leaders and as a team we will be ready to face them."
