Benni McCarthy not desperate to make new AmaZulu signings

Usuthu's new management have made huge changes at the club by bringing in top, experienced players such as Phakamani Mahlambi, Xola Mlambo, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Luvuyo Memela.

McCarthy, who himself is one of the big changes in the team after he replaced Ayanda Dlamini in the hotseat, believes it is too early for him to think about the transfer market.

"Obviously in a short space of time you can't just give an assessment on transfers, and I'm not that quick in diving into the transfer market," McCarthy said after securing a 3-1 win over Chippa United on Sunday.

"I think we have a big squad. If I call myself a coach, I should make these players better instead of looking to buy a finished product. I can make the good players we already have a finished product.

"So I want to work, I'm not in a hurry. I think we have a big, good squad. If it's necessary to do that when I'm done with my assessment we will discuss with the chairman, but at this point it doesn't look like we need to go to the market."
