Following a disciplinary hearing at the Premier Soccer League (PSL), the outspoken Thidiela was found guilty of bringing the league into disrepute after Lidoda Duvha were beaten 1-0 by Bloemfontein Celtic.
Thidiela threatened Hlungwani, saying the referee should not come back to Thohoyandou and that he’d be there “at his own risk”.
snl24.com/kickoff has been informed that Lidoda Duvha have received communication from the Dispute Resolution Chamber and they have decided against commenting on the matter.
Leopards, who made a return to top-flight football at the start of the current season, are set to take the legal route and challenge the decision that has been taken following the hearing.
Thidiela was also suspended from the PSL Executive Committee, subsequent to being investigated and charged by Nande Becker, the league’s prosecutor.
In an interview with this website on September 18, Thidiela apologised to Hlungwani for his rant, but his actions have come back to bite him.
