Black Leopards will be without three of their senior players for the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs after their contracts ended.
The contracts of Mokgakolodi Ngele, Tshwarelo Bereng and Thobani Mncwango have expired but the Venda side could still try to retain their services for next season.
The trio's initial contracts expired in June, then they were extended until end of August. At the moment the players are unattached.
Even though Leopards' season is not yet over as they still have to compete in the promotion/relegation playoffs, all three players have already left the biologically safe environment in Gauteng.
According to Lidoda Duvha general manager Tshifiwa 'Chief' Thidiela, the trio's return will depend on the club surviving the chop.
"Their contracts are finished but obviously we will negotiate," Thidiela tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"We were hoping to do it now after finishing the league, but now we still need to obviously continue playing. We are not done playing yet.
"All three of them, their contracts ended end of August. They were in the bubble, so they had to go out because their contracts had finished. We will speak to them once we are out of the bubble.
"Obviously we will talk to them and their agents but in the playoffs, no, they will not take part."
