Molemela passed away at the age of 83 last Sunday, with the club receiving messages of condolences from all around the South African football fraternity.

“We want to dedicate this game to our life president Ntate Molemela,” Seema tells snl24.com/kickoff. “Added to that, as you know the new coach [Luc Eymael] is from there and with the situation around him not being able to sit on the bench [for Bloemfontein Celtic]… this is one of the biggest games of our season.

“We know that this is going to be a difficult game but we feel if we win this one, we are going to survive relegation.

“Polokwane City always gives us problems. It’s going to be a difficult game and a very interesting game, but we are looking for nothing less than three points because our position on the log is very bad.”

Despite not having him on the bench, Seema says the players have responded well to Eymael and what he wants to get out of the team.

“The preparations for this game have gone very well. The good thing is that the international break gave the coach a little bit of time to work and put his philosophy to the team and the guys …  and they’ve started to understand how he wants them to play.”
