Ntuli, who had a fine 2019/20 season for Usuthu scoring 13 league goals, has informed the club's management of his desire to move to greener pastures.
After the club indicated last week they are not keen to let him go, the KwaZulu-Natal-born striker's manager Mandla Mthembu now confirms he is working on his client's next move.
"We long handed in Bongi's transfer request, before the bio-bubble camp because we did not want to come in last minute and disrupt their plans," Mthembu reveals to snl24.com/kickoff.
"Our aim was to give the club enough chance and time to look for a replacement. The reality is that there is serious interest in Bongi and it's a move he always wanted to make.
"Our letter to AmaZulu is very specific in a sense that it indicates that Bongi wants to move to that specific club only and nowhere else. There is an offer which I have personally given to the club for their consideration.
"I believe that we can work together towards a common goal like we have done in other instances. AmaZulu is home to Bongi and he wants things done accordingly and in good spirits.
"I give credit to Bongi because he went to the bio-bubble camp knowing his long-term wishes and he still gave his best, performed superbly and gave his commitment wholeheartedly."
