Manyama managed to get a Bafana call-up for the friendlies against Guinea-Bissau and Angola. However, Ngoma didn’t and Manyama believes that his partner in crime at The Citizens will soon also get a chance to don the Bafana jersey.
“Me and Aubrey are very close… and of course I did sent him a message. But he is a big boy and he has been through a lot in football already,” Manyama said.
“He knows how to take such things in a positive way and I think his chances are very near. He is probably one of the best players in the PSL this season and I think his chances will come very soon… that’s what I said to him. Ja, that was what we spoke about.”
Manyama, who was yesterday named the Player of the Month for February, also said he enjoyed every moment in the national team and learned a lot from the overseas players as well.
“It was a nice experience and obviously you get there and you learn from the players that play on a higher level. The level of professionalism is very high and I’ve learned a lot from these 10 days or so. I’m looking forward to many more opportunities,” he added.
