Cape Town City midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane wary of struggling Kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town City's in-form midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane says they will not dare underestimate Kaizer Chiefs today as they know what is at stake.

Amakhosi, who are still fresh from their midweek win against AmaZulu, will have another tough encounter against the Citizens at Cape Town Stadium.

Three points for the Johannesburg-based outfit might see them get into the top eight, provided other results elsewhere go their way.

"It's going to be a tough match because they are fighting to get out of where they are as much as they can you see," Mdantsane tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"And us also, we need points as soon as we can. It's important in this league to collect points as soon as you can in the first round you see. We are playing at home so we should use that as an advantage and try to win.

"Chiefs obviously is a big team so we shouldn't even think about relaxing when we are facing them.

"It's tricky playing a team that is trying to move away from their current position. So they've got nothing to lose, all they want is maximum points each and every game.

"That's when we'll need to stay calm and play our normal football. Obviously there will be mistakes happening in the game and that's when we will need to punish them if we get a chance.

"You can see they are really hungry, they keep going forward. So we need to be cautious about those things because they are good with counter you see. To win the game you need goals."
