“I’ve got very a big heart and I never give up,” the 23-year-old diminutive player told reporters.
“I hate losing and I’m a very big competitor. So, I mean at the end of the day the ball caters to the man who has the ball, not whether it’s the bigger man or the smaller man.
“Because I’m the smaller man I always have to find quicker ways – my speed, my agility, my nippiness … I have to get advantages.
“But ja, I think generally what carries me is my heart and knowing that the people who are watching Cape Town City, or who are watching football on TV just to see me, give me the extra motivation every time. And knowing that there are people I need to report back to as to why I didn’t make that pass or why I didn’t do that ”said Nodada.
With one eye on the MTN8-final against SuperSport on September 29 in Durban in a repeat of last year’s final, Nodada and his City teammates will undoubtedly need no motivation when the host Kaizer Chiefs with the resumption of the Absa Premier League in the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
“I think most importantly for us is remembering that we’ve only got one win in the league and as much as we are in a cup final and everything we’ve got to get momentum from these league games in order for us to get into the final with momentum, confidence and positivity,” he further explains
“Yeah and I think there’s no better game for us to start with or maybe let me say there’s no better game for us to get to a cup final it’s game where you don’t need extra motivation.
“You’ve got a big crowd, it’s a big game and the whole country is watching…you don’t need extra motivation for that. Saturday, I think we’re well prepared for it. The coach has obviously downplayed the nerves and everything ,” Nodada concluded.
