Comitis recently bought the PSL status of Mpumalanga Black Aces and last week unveiled the name and logo of his new club at a high-profile press conference at his club’s new home ground, Cape Town Stadium.

No technical sponsor was unveiled on the day however, yet Comitis has now revealed that a deal is near completion.

“I’m confident that within the next seven days I’ll have a technical sponsor signed, that’s an eight year deal,” he tells snl24.com/kickoff. “A lot of corporates have called us to get involved and participate so it looks like we’re definitely on the right track.

“There is an appeal about this brand and corporates are wanting to align themselves with this because it makes sense for Cape Town.”

City  will play their first official match against last season’s fifth-placed side Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 next month.
