Celtic's money problems have forced owner Max Tshabalala to put the club up for sale and prompted the recent resignation of coach Steve Komphela, who had to contend with players striking over unpaid wages among other issues during his six-month reign at Siwelele.
However, according to sources at the club, a cash injection may be on the cards.
"The situation could improve," says a source.
"The club is currently engaged with one of the big sports betting companies.
"If things go well the deal could be concluded soon."
Despite Celtic's challenges, the team is a respectable seventh on the Absa Premiership table with 26 points from 18 games.
