Chippa United head coach Daine Klate is looking forward to facing his former side Orlando Pirates on Sunday

Chippa was handed a second straight defeat at hands of now log leaders Royal AM on Wednesday evening. Addressing media after the game, head coach Daine Klate revealed that he had to save some of his players for Sunday's clash against the Buccaneers.

With 16 new signings welcomed in last month, the Chilli Boys don't have the most experienced sides but Klate maintains confidence in the youngsters.

"I think pushing up the youngsters who came in [against Royal AM] they all made a difference and showed hunger. They're all young and they're going to learn. The more opportunities they have the better we can become as a team," he added.

Klate was part of the Orlando Pirates' star-studded treble-winning team which included Benni McCarthy, Andile Jali and the late Senzo Meyiwa in 2011 and 2012, having joined in 2010 and left in 2015.

Both Chippa United and Orlando Pirates go into Sunday's clash at opposite ends of the spectrum. The Chilli Boys will be looking for their first win of the season and Orlando Pirates will be hoping to avoid their first defeat of the season.

The game will be played at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
