Mdledle is currently without a club after he parted ways with Mpumalanga Black Aces after making just six appearances last season.
According to a source close to the Chilli Boys, the former Orlando Pirates defender is set to arrive in Cape Town on Monday for further assessment under coach Kosta Papic.
"Chippa United are very interested and invited him to come for training next week," says the source.
