Chippa United coach Clinton Larsen believes a victory and a draw in their next two league games can save them from relegation.

The Chilli Boys will face Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City in their next two Absa Premiership matches, and Larsen feels with their fighting spirit it is highly possible to obtain four points from those two games.

"I said it before, if my team can fight like this every week, we will survive," he said after their 1-0 defeat to Bidvest Wits last Friday at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

"For us it's about bouncing back after this loss. If we can win and draw it will do it for us, we will be safe.

"We've got a lot of speed, we need to keep on doing that especially against Kaizer Chiefs [in the Nedbank Cup], Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City in the league, we can get positive results."

About the Wits game, Larsen felt they did everything they could to win the game, it was just not their night.

"I'm pleased with the way the team played, it's just that we were playing against a very competitive side, deserving to be in the title race," he added.

Chippa will now prepare to host Chiefs in the most important match in their history as they are looking for their first ever PSL trophy, which would see them playing in the CAF Confederation Cup as Nedbank Cup winners should they go all the way.
