Instead Larsen has accused clubs of using the media to destabilise other clubs' players, with places up for grabs as the season reaches its climax.

Sibiya has established himself as a key figure in the Abafana Bes'thende setup this season, scoring three goals along with four assists in all competitions, including a crucial goal in their Nedbank Cup quarterfinal to dump the Brazilians out of the competition.

Arrows will host the reigning Absa Premiership and CAF Champions League champions at Kwamashu's Princess Magogo stadium, where Jingles' side will be looking to avenge their cup exit, on Friday evening.

Larsen, though, says Sibiya is aware that his good performances will spark conversation in the media but insists the club has nothing to worry about, regarding enquiries about the 21-year-old.

"I think we often speak to our young players about the times when they are doing well – that their could be some rumors in the media about teams being after them," said Larsen at their pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

"All our young players have contracts and, as a club, we've got nothing to worry about. Our chairlady [Mato Madlala] will decide where and when [players are] ready to be moved on to anybody else.

"But at this stage there's has been no discussions around that and nobody has approached our club, so I think he's focussed."

He added: "Like I've said, we often counsel our players about these type of things and sometimes things are put in the media to derail players' confidence or get them do things they don't usually do.

"He [Sibiya] knows full and well about it and he's been focusing at training; he's looking good and we are looking forward to seeing him play on Friday."

Sibiya rose to prominence with the Arrows' reserve side that pipped Sundowns' reserves to the Multichoice Diski Challenge title in the 2015/16 season, and has featured in 20 league games under Larsen this season.
