Coxwell Ratshivhadelo slams David Thidiela's management of Black Leopards

Despite winning 2-1 against Stellenbosch on Sunday, Lidoda Duvha are still third from the bottom of the Absa Premiership log.

Former striker Coxwell 'Magic' Ratshivhadelo believes the club's legends have been neglected and also complains about the playing personnel assembled by Thidiela this season.

"No, this man also don't want to buy players, I don't know why," Ratshivhadelo tells snl24.com/kickoff.

When reminded that quality players were brought in at the start of the campaign such as Thuso Phala and Mokgakolodi Ngele, he was not convinced about the statement.

"But they were players then [at their previous clubs], they've run out of steam now you see. You see in the other teams they would often utilise their ex-players to scout players or else utilise them in their technical teams," he explains.

"So if you can check at Black Leopards, all the people around Thidiela, nobody ever, ever played soccer. So I don't know how do they advise him concerning soccer issues you understand? There are people around Venda who can help this guy but he's surrounded by people who don't know football.

"In our Black Leopards team Gavin Hunt wouldn't listen [allow] David Thidiela to put together a skeem [choose starting line-up]. That one I know, I'm the witness of that. But the fact is Gavin Hunt by then he didn't want any of that, maybe because that time he [Thidiela] was still scared of a white person.

"But most of the coaches now who leave Black Leopards confess that there's interference from Thidiela. At the end of the day when you are the coach you must get all the powers to be a coach.

"I think also this thing of him firing a coach today, tomorrow you have got another coach... how did you evaluate the next coach, that this coach is capable of doing the job?

"He must take his time and leave everything to the assistant coach... and not put himself under pressure as if there's a gun pointed at him 'hire a coach now' you understand?

"Some of us we are working, we don't need to be paid, if he wants us to help him with something else we are here to help.

"But if you can check all ex-players of Black Leopards we are all sidelined. He must take his time in getting a coach. He must stay away from writing team lists. But the truth needs to be told [laughs]."
