Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has revealed that he is preparing for life without goalkeeper Darren Keet, who is likely to leave the club.

Keet's contract with the Clever Boys is coming to an end in June and he has not agreed to extend his stay yet.

The Wits number one was dropped from the starting line-up for their last two matches against Orlando Pirates and Black Leopards, with Ricardo Goss taking his place.

"The situation with Darren is he hasn't signed a new contract and his people and our people have not come to an agreement," Hunt said after his side 3-1 victory over Leopards on Wednesday night.

"We have to do what I'm told to do, which is best for the club in long term. He has been our number one and if he doesn't want to stay then I must play Goss."

Meanwhile, following their victory over Leopards, Hunt believes anything can still happen in the Absa Premiership title race with three matches remaining.

"We are still fighting and mathematically anything can still happen. We are disappointed because we got ourselves here and we should be in a better situation," he added.
