Royal AM and TS Galaxy settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a goalless draw in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday evening.

One change showed for Galaxy from Friday’s win at Maritzburg United in Sphiwe Mahlangu, but Thwihli Thwahla were unchanged despite losing their last encounter against Cape Town City.

Though, the Rockets didn’t have a settled opening and were forced to make a change on just five minutes as Orebotse Mongae came on in for the veteran Lindokuhle Mbatha.

Having lost all of their five recent matches in all competitions, AM entered the clash hovering outside the top eight bracket as the Rockets aimed for consecutive wins to start of the year.

Royal AM have to go back to October for their last league win against Golden Arrows, while the victory over the Team of Choice helped Galaxy end a nine-match winless streak.

No goals during the course of the first half from Thwihli Thwahla and the Rockets came and therefore it finished goalless at the interval of the match.

The home team turned to the bench in order to get a look in soon from the break and dropped in Shaune Mogaila for Andre De Jong before Shadrack Kobedi took Lesego Manganyi’s spot.

After a quiet spell, the host were given a huge chance to go ahead from the penalty spot following a coming-together in the area but Ruzaigh Gamildien missed and goalless it remained.

The two sides continued to battle away during the latter exchanges of the match, but no breakthrough came and goalless it concluded.
