Amadou Soukouna broke the deadlock for Maritzburg five minutes before the break with a strike in the box after a headed pass by Rowan Human.

TS Galaxy 4-0 Chippa United
TS Galaxy retained their status after thrashing Chippa United 4-0 courtesy of a brace by Kamogelo Sebelebele at Mbombela Stadium.
Sebelebele got the breakthrough for Galaxy on 33 minutes with a strike in the box after he was teed up by Bernard Parker.
The two attackers combined again early in the second stanza as Sebelebele doubled the lead for the Rockets and completed his brace after he was setup again by Parker.
Masilake Phohlongo sealed the deal for the Rockets two minutes before time and Nkosikhona Radebe rubbed salt into the wounds of Chippa with the fourth goal in stoppage time.
The win took Galaxy up to tenth on the table while Chippa remained second-from-bottom, equal on points with 14th-placed Marumo Gallants and bottom side Maritzburg United, with one round of matches remaining.
Royal AM 0-1 Swallows
Swallows boosted their chances of finishing in the top eight after edging Royal AM 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Chatsworth Stadium.
Kagiso Malinga opened the scoring for Swallows just before the half-hour mark with a strike from the penalty spot and that was enough to earn the Birds victory.
Musa Nyatama's charges find themselves in ninth spot on the table, only out of the top eight with a lesser goal difference than Golden Arrows, Sekhukhune United and Stellenbosch, who are all tied on 37 points along with the Birds.
Cape Town City 2-0 Richards Bay
Ten-man Cape Town City secured their spot in the top eight after beating Richards Bay 2-0 at Athlone Stadium.
After a goalless first stanza, Khanyisa Mayo finally broke the deadlock for the Citizens early in the second stanza with a close-range effort after a headed pass by Taariq Fielies.
City were reduced to ten men shortly after the hour-mark after Lorenzo Gordinho got a second booking and was sent off.
However, Mayo doubled the lead for Eric Tinkler's men nine minutes before time with a strike in the box.
City remained in fifth spot and sealed a spot in the top eight with one match to spare while Richards Bay remained in 13th spot.
Golden Arrows 1-0 AmaZulu
Golden Arrows kept their hopes of a top eight spot alive after a narrow 1-0 win over AmaZulu on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.
The sides could not be separated in the first stanza but Siyabuya Ndlovu eventually broke the deadlock for Arrows early in the second stanza with a header from a free-kick by Pule Mmodi.
Arrows settled for eighth spot on the table, equal on points with Stellenbosch, Sekhukhune United and Swallows, who are all vying for a top eight spot, with one round of matches left.
