Dylan Kerr wants positive Black Leopards reaction against Mamelodi Sundowns

Both teams failed to find the back of the net in their last Absa Premiership encounters, with the Limpopo side losing 3-0 to Celtic and the Tshwane giants beaten 2-0 at home by AmaZulu.

The Brazilians, however, go into the clash against Lidoda Duvha with their tails up again after last Friday's 3-1 win over ASEC Mimosas in the CAF Champions League.

Since the 2001/02 season the two sides have clashed 18 times in league matches, drawing twice, with Leopards winning only five compared to The Brazilians' 11 victories.

The last time the two teams met in the league was in 2012/13 when Sundowns won both the first and second round matches, 1-0 and 5-2 respectively.

Leopards have already sunk their claws into one of the 'big three' when they knocked Orlando Pirates out of the Nedbank Cup recently.

"We have to have a reaction to the loss versus Bloemfontein, I'm not bothered by the Pirates game," Kerr tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I've got great respect for Sundowns both as a player 33 years ago [while at Arcadia Shepherds] and today because they have strength in depth and a good coach, so we have to show character and play better than the last game with our decision-making.

"Sundowns' squad, they have quality players and like us don't like losing, so they want to put it right to put pressure on the leaders. Changing the team isn't a question for me because I have good, honest, hardworking players.

"But I have one enforced change in [Khuliso] Mudau due to suspension so whoever plays I want to see a positive reaction."

Kick-off at Loftus Stadium is at 19h30.
