The defensive midfielder joined Amakhosi last month from SuperSport United, and is determined to add value at Naturena.
“The supporters always expect both a good performance and a positive result,” Mkhabela told the club's website. “I don’t think I will struggle with pressure. I am aware that we have to approach all the games as cup finals.”
He added: “I am very excited to be part of Chiefs. I wish to repay the club with hard work and dedication to my work.”
Mkhabela is well aware he faces competition for game-time at the Soweto giants.
“There is a lot of quality in the team. The competition is high here, the guys are taking their job serious at Chiefs.”
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old revealed the team's new signings were introduced to the "Chiefs way" of doing things at a recent 10-day training camp in Mpumalanga.
“At the camp we were introduced to the Chiefs way. Uppermost is the professionalism at Chiefs.”
Mkhabela said the recruits were made to feel welcome by the senior players at the Glamour Boys.
“Everybody welcomed the new players warmly. The set-up here is professional and the players know how to deal with the newly signed ones.”
