Maritzburg United head coach Eric Tinkler has welcomed the experience of Delron Buckley and Rowen Fernandez into his new-look technical team for the 2020/21 season.
Tinkler steered the Team of Choice to a credible seventh-placed finish after helping them avoid relegation in the previous campaign and will now look to further build on his notable strides.
The club confirmed the arrivals of former Bafana Bafana duo Buckley and Fernandez on Tuesday afternoon who both enjoyed distinguished careers which Tinkler duly noted in his assessment of their appointments.
"Delron was an excellent player, he was an international and I felt that it was important to bring someone in with experience that played in Europe and know what it takes to achieve those heights," Tinkler said.
"Fernandez is an ex-international goalkeeper, also played in Germany for many years and big clubs in South Africa and to have someone of his quality and CV, our keepers can learn a lot from."
