Ex-Bafana Bafana international James Madidilane takes up Bantu FC coaching job in Lesotho

The ex-defender only turns 30 later this year and is thrust into his first senior managerial experience after a disappointing seventh-place finish for Bantu in the recently completed Lesotho Premier League season.

He replaces Bafokeng Mohapi and will be assisted by Bob Mafaso, who was coach of fourth-placed Sandawana from Butha Buthe last season.

Madidilane’s previous coaching experience has been at Roses United and the junior ranks of Bloemfontein Celtic.

Madidilane played for Manning Rangers, Bloemfontein Celtic and Maritzburg United in his PSL career and won a single cap for South Africa in a weakened XI that played against Mauritius in a Cosafa Castle Cup tie in 2007. He was a regular Under-23 international.
