With the last two against championship rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits having brought relatively good returns – a draw and a victory respectively, The Buccaneers have been urged to move on and turn their attention to their next matches.

Currently occupying top spot on the log standings, Davids has declared their next two fixtures against Leopards and Free State Stars the most important of their season thus far, as their campaign now approaches its climax.

“On the back of the Sundowns and Wits matches, we have to now realise that our next match [against Black Leopards] and the one thereafter against Free State Stars are the most important matches,” said Davids.

“We start with Leopards, now putting our all into it to try and get the maximum result. Our players need to realise that we need a performance coming into this match.

“Everything else aside – forget the Sundowns match; forget the Bidvest Wits match; this is the match that counts, and we urge all our supporters to come and fill up Orlando Stadium.”
